Keep walking for natural accupressure therapy
The organs of your body have sensory touches at the bottom of your feet as diagramed in the photo on the left. Walking barefoot massage these points and helps to keep your body healthy.
No time or inclination to get barefooted? Our accupressure and reflexology therapy sessions pinpoint specific organs and help to keep your organs in balance.

Finding satisfaction in contributing for the Plainfield Fire Fighters Women’s Association
The Swing into Spring Spa Day hosted by the Plainfield Fire Fighters Women’s Association in Yorkville, IL treated all donating attendees a Sunday filled with luxurious treats of massage, facials and of course, Acupressure and Reflexology by the Health in Your Hands Team.
Jay and I donated our time and services and worked on over 45 women during this ga
la event. These lovely ladies (of all ages) came to support the Plainfield Field Fire Victims Fund as well as a scholarship program for children of fire fighters and paramedics. http://www.plainfieldfpd.com
The line of ladies kept getting longer throughout the day as word got around that we were doing reflexology and acupressure mini-sessions, all the while explaining how we all have control of our health and it’s all in our hands! It was truly a pleasure to be able to contribute to such a worthwhile cause!
Successful Wellness Week at Joliet Junior College
On Wednesday, Jay and I participated in the Wellness Week, sponsored by the Office of Holistic Wellness at Joliet Junior College in Joliet, Illinois. I have to tell you, it took me by surprise! Over 2000 students and faculty came to learn about different health and wellness issues. Jay and I gave mini workshops followed by Q & A and of course, mini acupressure and reflexology sessions. JJC’s website: http://www.littleurl.net/9f53da
We were able to teach these bright young minds about alternative health and healing techniques. What a blast! We’re certainly going to do more educational sessions. If you know of groups that would benefit from learning about reflexology, acupressure, and ayurvedic yoga, shoot me an email at ramilakhatau@yahoo.com.

Reflexology and Acupressure workshop draws crowd at Body Mind Spirit Expo
We took the science of Reflexology and Acupressure to the masses and presented a workshop at the Body Mind Spirit Expo in Chicago, IL in early March.
After sharing our educational backgrounds, I focused in on teaching the attendees about the specific pressure points in the hands that alleviate pain and maintain healthy balance of the body–specifically spoke on sinuses (tips of the fingers), headaches (thumb), and thyroid (under the thumb on palm).
I had a friend who was going to miss work because of terrible sinus headache and congestion. Despite her reluctance, I went over and spent 35 minutes working on her hands and giving her reflexology therapy. Not only did she feel completely rejuvenated, her sinus pain was almost non-existent. I explained this to the crowd and invited them to our booth for a mini-therapy session. Needless to say, I had many takers, especially since it’s been less than 30° in Chicago. I think they went home happy!
My partner (and husband), Jay did Acupressure on feet. I saw the clients oohing and aahing and falling into state of complete relaxation. After the mini-session, Jay explained where the problems were and how to take care of them.
It was a great experience for both of us. It was especially gratifying because our techniques were so well received. I’ve posted some of the clients’ comments that I got back from the survey below…What a wonderful weekend.
“It relaxed me and gave me a good sense of well being”–J.S.
“Excellent work, felt so relaxing and I slept like a baby that nite J”–D.B.
“It was a great session with Jay—felt light on my legs—really would recommend to friends”–J.A.
“I like the idea of learning about the procedure as I experience it”–G.P.
